Thanks for all you do Willamette Farm and Food Coalition! You've always been there for we farmers and we so appreciate the good work you do in our community...can't wait to see the new Locally Grown Guide! In these trying times, one of the biggest ways consumers can support local farmers and ensure a steady supply of fresh produce to their tables is by signing up to join a CSA! Community Supported Agriculture programs provide consumers with a regular subscription to fresh produce (often delivered to a drop site near your home). In exchange, customers pay all or part of the cost for the season up front. This extra income at the start of the season helps farmers to purchase the materials they need to plant and grow food all season long. Having a guaranteed customer base is vital for many farms right now. Our 2020 Locally Grown Guide, to be released in April, will have a list of farmers in Lane County who offer CSA programs.
