Winter Green Farm is accepting applications for the following positions:

Harvest Co-Manager

The role of the co-manager is to work with our other managers in all aspects of harvest and packing on the farm. This position is full time and will begin in March of 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of what crops are in the field, their placement, and when they will be ready for harvest.
  • Organizing harvests (who is harvesting what, when, and the amounts).
  • Training and running the crew to ensure optimum safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Keeping track of harvest times.
  • Field sanitation checks and record keeping (amount of veg. harvested, when, and where).
  • A deep understanding of the farm’s food safety plan and a commitment to adhere to it.
  • The management of processing vegetables and ensuring that the crew is trained to work safely, efficiently, and has the skills to put out a quality product.
  • Cooler organizing and distributing product to appropriate markets.
  • Keeping accurate records for certification, food safety certification, and for tracking profitability.
  • Making certain all supplies and tools are on hand for harvest and processing. If supplies are needed, let Chris or Shannon know well in advance
  • Providing any necessary feedback or communication to other managers and/or owners about crew, crops, field conditions, etc.
  • If a harvest is not completed, knowing what still needs to be done, so that it can be completed the next day.

Position includes sick pay, free produce during the season, and paid time off as of the second season with the farm. Pay for this position depends on experience.

Delivery Driver

EUGENE/SPRINGFIELD
Duties include: Delivering weekly CSA Shares to Eugene/Springfield on Fridays. Candidate will be required to have a friendly, out-going attitude, and be able to lift up to 40lbs. You must have experience driving a 12-16 ft box truck in urban or highway settings and have a valid drivers license with a clean record.

Farmers’ Market Driver/Vendor

KING FARMERS MARKET – PORTLAND and FLORENCE FARMERS MARKET – FLORENCE

Duties include: Driving to Portland on Sundays for Farmers’ Market and/or Florence on Tuesdays. You will be responsible for loading the truck at the farm early in the morning, and driving up to the respective market, helping to set up the market stand, vending, keeping the stand looking nice and tidy, breaking down the booth, returning to the farm and unloading the truck. Hours will range from 10-15 hrs a week, May through November, with the option to join the field crew.

Qualified candidate must have experience driving a 12-16 ft box truck in urban and highway settings, and have a valid drivers license with a clean record. This position requires the ability to work long days, with a friendly, outgoing attitude. Should be a self-motivated, responsible individual, who loves to work in a team environment, and loves to work with produce!

Farmers’ Market Vendors

Florence Farmers’ Market – Florence

Duties include: Meeting the Market crew for our Tuesday Farmers’ Market in Florence in the morning, and helping to set up the market stand. You will then spend the day vending, keeping the stand looking nice, breaking down the booth, and helping to re-load the truck. Hours will range from 6-8 hours a week, May through mid-October for Florence.

Qualified candidates will have the ability to work with a friendly, out-going attitude. Should be a self-motivated, responsible individual, who loves to work in a team environment, and loves to work with produce!

Farm Crew

Duties include: Harvesting, processing, and packing produce for our Community Supported Agriculture members and Farmers’ Markets. You will also be planting, hoeing, and weeding crops. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work long days under the hot sun, and still smile! Benefits include being outside in the fresh air, working with an amazing crew, and access to fresh, organic produce.
