Spring is Right Around the Corner!

March 9, 2022

March is in full swing and Spring is beginning to peek around the farm. The nights are still cold, but the days are getting a little warmer, and nature is responding to the upcoming season. We hope you’re all enjoying the last vestiges of winter as much as we are!

2022 CSA Season Shares are still available!

We still have spots available for this upcoming CSA season! If you or anyone you know is interested in reserving a share this summer, send them our way! Shares can be purchased here on our website, and we have multiple share types and payment plans available. We would love to join you on your food journey this year!

Don’t forget, we work with SNAP and the Double-Up Food Bucks Program!

If you have SNAP benefits, as many do, we are once again working with the Double-Up Food Bucks Program, which offers a match subsidy for monthly SNAP payments. Once we receive your share order, we’ll set you up with the program, and they will automatically take payments from your SNAP card the beginning of each month from June to October. If you have any questions about the program or reserving a share, please reach out to us here at the farm. We’re best reached by email at [email protected].

Winter Green Farm is hiring!

Interested in learning more about organic, biodynamic farming? Love being in the outdoors and have an interest in agriculture? Winter Green Farm has employment opportunities for the 2022 season! We have positions open for here on the farm or for vendors at our farmers markets. If you’re looking for new opportunities, fill out an application and let us know! Winter Green Farm is a family-run business, and we care about our employees and our community as if they were family, too. We’d love to have you join us!

What’s Going on at the Farm?

The encroaching Spring has our crew working hard to prepare the fields for planting, and Shannon is spearheading the greenhouse preparation as we speak. Potatoes were seeded this week and last, and the crew has a strict seeding schedule they’re sticking to, to make sure all the yummy veggies are planted on time for the upcoming season. It’s busy around here at the farm (and a little chilly) and spirits are high as we finish out the winter.

March is here, and with it daylight’s savings time. We hope you’ll soon enjoy the longer days and get to spend time doing what you love. We’re looking forward to sharing this season with you!

Many blessings,

Chelsea and your Winter Green farmers
