We’re offering a holiday box this season!

The CSA season was shorter this year, but we’d still like to offer a box of delicious vegetables, just in time for the holiday, filled with all the staples you need for a fantastic family meal! Potatoes, carrots, celeriac, parsley, onions, squash, and more! This will be a one-time delivery the weekend before Thanksgiving. You can also purchase add-ons like bulk carrots, potatoes, onions, and winter squash.

What we hope to put in the box:

  • Potatoes – 5lb. bag
  • Carrots – 5lb. bag
  • Italian Parsley
  • Onions
  • Leeks
  • Kale or another green (depending on availability)
  • Kabocha squash or pie pumpkin (depending on availability)
  • Delicata squash

(What’s included in the box is subject to change, depending on the harvest.)

You can gift a holiday box to a family in need this season!

With this government shutdown taking placing and SNAP benefits up in the air, we know there are so many families who may be struggling just to put food on the table. We want to help! This year, we’re donating holiday boxes to families in need, and we’d like to offer you the opportunity to donate, too! Any holiday box purchased through the box donation link, and any financial assistance donations for the holiday, will go to help a family in need this holiday season.

We know times are tough right now, and if you rely on SNAP benefits, they’ve just gotten harder. We want to do what we can to help with that! If you’re a SNAP recipient affected by the freeze and you could use a holiday box to help your family this month, we want to gift that to you. Go ahead and sign up through the SNAP recipient link or shoot me an email at folks@wintergreenfarm.com and we’ll get you on the list to receive a box of vegetables the weekend before Thanksgiving. We know it can’t fix what’s going on, but hopefully it will help ease your burdens.

Donate to Financial Assistance this Holiday Season!

There are so many families who are affected by the government shutdown right now, especially those with SNAP who won’t receive benefits due to the freeze. We at Winter Green Farm would like to help by providing holiday vegetable boxes to families in need. Any donations to the financial assistance fund through this link will directly benefit a family in need. Not only will your donations help cover the cost of a box for someone who needs it, but it will help support the farm as we harvest, pack, and deliver as much food as we can to those who need the assistance this holiday season!

Where and when we’ll deliver the holiday boxes

We will be packing this box on Friday, November 21st, with options for pickup November 21st through November 24th, depending on location.

Pickup options:

  • Emmaus Lutheran Church – Friday, November 21st – 18th and Polk in Eugene – 4pm to 6pm
  • Lane County Farmers’ Market – Saturday, November 22nd – 8th and Oak in Eugene – 9am to 3pm
  • King Market – Sunday, November 23rd – NE Wygant St. and NE 7th Ave. in Portland – 10am to 2pm
  • Corner Market – Monday, November 24th – 295 River Road in Eugene – 12pm to 2pm
  • Winter Green Farm – Friday, November 21st to Monday, November 24th – 89762 Poodle Creek Road in Noti – before sunset

Orders will close at midnight on Sunday, November 16th.
