Just a few more weeks!
We have reached May, and (finally) the sun is shining! We still have a few more weeks until the season starts, but it’s coming up fast, and boy are we excited! We cannot wait to see what the season will bring, and we’re so glad to be joining you on this food journey.
We’re so happy to have you with us this season!
The 2022 CSA Season will begin the first week of June! We have five different share options: Standard Full Share (19 weeks), Extended Full Share (24 weeks), Standard Half Share (10 weeks), Extended Half Share (12 weeks), and Extended Share Only (5 weeks). The full shares are weekly, whereas the half shares are every other week and alternate start dates. The Standard Half Share will begin Week One, while the Extended Half Shares will begin Week Two.
We still have shares available!
The shares for the Extended Season have been filled, but we do still have Standard Season shares available! If you’re interested in either the full share or the half share for the Standard Season, which runs June to mid-October, hop on over to our website and reserve your share now! We don’t have many left, so the sooner, the better!
If you aren’t wanting a CSA share, but you’re still interested in Winter Green veggies, come see us at the Farmer’s Markets! Right now, you can find us at the Lane County Farmer’s Market in Eugene, but come June, we’ll be at the Eugene Farm Stand on 18th and Polk on Wednesdays, the Lane County Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, and in Portland at the Hollywood Market on Saturdays and the King Market on Sundays. We would love to see you there!

The pandemic has changed many things for so many people, and one of those is visits here at the farm. But this year, we get to celebrate with you! Winter Green Farm is having a potluck on June 4, from 12:00 to 4:00pm, and we would love to celebrate the beginning of the season with you! Even if you aren’t a current member and you just want to say hi, grab your favorite dish, hop in the car, and come hang out with us!

We’re adapting to Oregon’s weather this year!
In true Oregon fashion, the weather has not cooperated this year. It’s been wet and cold this spring, so the first few boxes may be a little lighter than in previous years, but don’t worry! We’re planning to grow lots of veggies for you this year, and we’ll load down the boxes with as much food as we can as soon as the weather permits. Thank you so much for being patient with us!
Keep an eye out for the blog and weekly emails!
We will be sending out emails each week to let you know what’s in the box! The blog will go out on Tuesdays. It will contain important announcements, what’s going on at the farm, what you can expect in your share each week, and recipes to help inspire your time in the kitchen! You’ll also be getting an email on Mondays or Thursdays, depending on your delivery day, with an estimate of what you can expect in your box. These lists come from the harvest crew and are more of an estimate than a final list. We also aren’t able to guarantee Tuesday/Wednesday deliveries will be the same as the weekend deliveries, but we will do our very best to get you the veggies we promised for this season. If we don’t get you one week, we’ll get you the next week that veggie is available. (Please note: we can’t guarantee half shares will receive all the veggies offered throughout the season due to availability, but we’ll try our best.)
Boxes get packed on Mondays and Thursdays, for delivery on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, depending on the delivery site you’ve chosen. We are happy to make changes to accommodate vacations, but we will need notice at least seven days in advance to keep the stress of last-minute changes off our crew. In the past, we’ve been able to be a little flexible with that deadline, but unfortunately, we will need to be strict about it this season to keep deliveries as smooth as possible. You can place a vacation request on our website to let us know when you won’t be able to get your share. You’re welcome to reschedule your share, take a credit toward the 2023 Season, or give your share to Food for Lane County as a tax-deductible donation.
